The USCIS Electronic Reading Room provides access to information identified under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). FOIA requires agencies to proactively release documents that may be in the public interest. This includes documents that have been requested three or more times or those which are likely to be frequently requested. We will update the reading room as documents are requested and when we proactively identify those documents likely requested for release. The creation of this reading room supports the Transparency and Open Government Presidential Memorandum.
