USCIS' Havana Office Remains Closed as a Result of Hurricane Ike; Houston and Harlingen, Tex., offices watching storm's track

MIAMI—U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced today that its Havana field office remains closed as a result of Hurricane Ike.

Meanwhile, the agency’s offices in Houston and Harlingen, Tex. are currently open; however, officials will continue to reassess the situation depending on the storm’s movement.  We will announce potential office closures as soon as possible.

USCIS will automatically reschedule all appointments until a time when it is safe to resume operations.

For public information on these, or other potential office closures, check our Web site (www.uscis.gov) frequently for updates.   Customers are also encouraged to call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.
