Exceptions to the Education Requirements for Naturalization for
Certain Applicants
Correction
In final rule document 97-6686 beginning on page 12915 in the issue of March 19, 1997 make the following corrections:
§ 312.1 [Corrected]
(1) On page 12923, in § 312.1(b)(3), in the second column, in the first paragraph:
(a) In the sixteenth line "form" should read "from".
(b) In the seventh line from the bottom of the paragraph "requirements of English" should read "requirements for English".
(c) In the fourth line from the bottom of the paragraph "even with reasonable modifications to the methods of determining English proficiency" was inadvertently repeated.
§ 312.2 [Corrected]
(3) On the same page, in § 312.2(b)(1), in the second column:
(a) In the seventh line "Untied stated" should read "United States".
(b) In the fourth line from the bottom of the paragraph "results form" should read "results from".
(2) On the same page, in § 312.2(b)(2), in the third column:
(a) In the twelth line "Untied States" should read "United States".
(b) In the seventeenth line "Neutralization" should read "Naturalization".
(c) In the penultimate line "purpose" should read "purposes".
