OI 105.8 War Relocation Authority Records.
The War Relocation Authority Records of approximately 20,000 persons of Japanese race, who were moved in-land from the west coast area of the United States during World War II, are now filed by name in the National Archives in Washington, D. C., and are available for inspection by officer of this Service. It is not necessary to request to check of the War Relocation Authority Records in connection with every Japanese applicant for naturalization since the same information is contained in the records of the
FBI. However, if the FBI records do contain derogatory information concerning Japanese applicants for naturalization, a request on Form G-325B may be made for a check of the War Relocation Authority Records. Even in such cases requests for checks of the War Relocation Authority Records shall be kept to a minimum. (Revised.)
