Dès le début de l’année 2015, le Ministère de la Sécurité intérieure (Department of Homeland Security ou DHS) mettra en œuvre un Programme d’exceptions pour le regroupement des familles haïtiennes (HFRP) afin de procurer l’opportunité d’une migration d’Haïti qui soit sûre, légale et dans l’ordre pour certains membres éligibles de la famille de citoyens américains et de résident permanent qui sont légales aux États-Unis.
