How does E-Verify safeguard the information it collects?
E-Verify safeguards the information collected using a variety of administrative, physical and technical measures. E-Verify requests the minimum amount of information necessary to conduct site visits and desks reviews to ensure an employers’ compliance with the E-Verify memorandum of understanding (MOU). E-Verify also requires all agency staff and contractors handling an individual’s personal information to complete annual privacy and computer security training. Finally, M&C works to ensure that information is shared, processed, retained, and stored in accordance with all applicable Federal privacy and data protections laws and guidelines.
