Q : What is Web Services? If I chose to enroll using this access method, will I be able to comply with the time requirements in the FAR?The Web Services Access Method requires a company to develop software that interfaces with USCIS to perform employment eligibility verifications of newly hired employees. Your company’s software will extract data from your existing system or an electronic Form I-9 and transmit the information to government databases. If you choose this option, you will be sent the Employer Web Services Interface Control Document (ICD). The ICD contains the information you need to develop and test your software interface. Note that adopting Web Services requires a significant amount of time and financial investment to develop, test and implement Web Services.
