Training Opportunities for Civics and Citizenship Teachers of Adults

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will convene FREE training workshops and conferences for adult English as a Second Language (ESL), civics and citizenship teachers, volunteers, and immigrant-serving organizations to enhance their skills in teaching U.S. history, civics, and the naturalization process to immigrant students. These training opportunities will include sessions on the new naturalization test, the naturalization process, and an overview of the fundamental principles of American democracy.

These workshops will complement EL/Civics Online, a web-based electronic training module for volunteers and adult educators that include courses and materials in the following content areas: the U.S. naturalization process, U.S. government, U.S. history, and civic engagement. Please see the link to the right to visit EL/Civics Online.

To register for a training opportunity in your area, please complete the registration form below and follow the submission instructions. Please note there will be no on site registration the day of the event. Registrations will be accepted up to 10 business days in advance of the training date.
