Educator & Volunteer Resources

USCIS promotes instruction and training on citizenship rights and responsibilities and provides immigrants with information and tools necessary to successfully integrate into American civic culture. These materials are provided to strengthen citizenship and English as a Second Language (ESL) programs that help prepare immigrants for naturalization.

EL/Civics Online

Library Services for Immigrants: A Report on Current Practices

Public libraries in the United States have a long history of helping immigrants integrate into their communities and better understand life in their new country. We seek to build upon this tradition by supporting the resource needs of public libraries. Below is a report identifying current practices and suggesting ideas for libraries offering services to immigrants.
