Educational Opportunities for Congressional Staff

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of Legislative Affairs and the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs are pleased to invite you to the National Immigration Conference for congressional staff at the Capitol Visitor Center.

National Conference on Immigration and Consular Affairs

Date: April 13-17, 2015

Location: Capitol Visitor Center, Washington, DC

The 5-day National Immigration Conference will provide an invaluable opportunity for congressional staff to learn about:

  • immigration system program information from U.S. Government departments and agencies;
  • in-depth procedural information about immigration issues and case processing; and
  • how the U.S. Government documents U.S. citizenship and provides assistance to U.S. citizens overseas.

Subject matter experts from Consular Affairs and U.S. Department of Homeland Security component agencies including USCIS, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, as well as other U.S. Government agencies, will providecomprehensive overviews of immigration and consular-related topics. We trust you will benefit from this opportunity to discuss these topics and strengthen relationships with othercongressional staff as well as agency staff.
