Educational Opportunities for Congressional Staff

USCIS is hosting two unique educational opportunities for Members of Congress and their staff this year. Please see details below.

 

National Conference on Immigration and Consular Affairs

Date: May 12-16, 2014

Location: Capitol Visitor Center, Washington, DC

This 5-day seminar will provide a programmatic overview of the immigration system, in-depth procedural information about immigration laws and case processing, and information on how the U.S. government documents U.S. citizenship and provides assistance to U.S. citizens abroad. Representatives from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of State (DOS), and Department of Justice (DOJ) will provide a comprehensive view of consular- and immigration- related topics.

 

Congressional Seminars and Tours at the National Benefits Center, National Records Center and Kansas City Field Office

Date: June 19-20, 2014

Location: Kansas City, MO area

The National Benefits Center (NBC), National Records Center (NRC) and the Kansas City Field Office are opening their doors to congressional seminars and tours for Members of Congress and their staff. These three unique offices within USCIS are located together in the metropolitan area of Kansas City, Missouri.
