Yes. Regulations on confidentiality can be found at 8 CFR 208.6. In general, asylum-related information may not be shared with third parties without the asylum applicant’s written consent or the Secretary of Homeland Security’s specific authorization. There are, however, limited circumstances in which this general prohibition does not apply.
