Annual facilities maintenance activities will be conducted at the Social Security Administration’s National Computer Center (NCC) during the Columbus Day holiday weekend, October 10-12, 2009.
The SSA power-down will begin after close of business and upon completion of data backups on Friday October 9th, at approximately midnight.
This event will prevent VIS from accessing the Numident (SSN) database, so E-verify will be affected for the duration of the planned SSA outage.
