If you have an asylum application pending with us, you can check your case status online. All you need is the receipt number that we mailed you after you filed your application. Start here:

If you have an application for asylum or NACARA 203 pending, you may submit additional evidence by postal mail or in our office during public inquiry hours, which are every Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Please note: The Arlington Asylum Office require that all supporting documentation for asylum applications be submitted, in duplicate, at least one week (seven days) prior to the date of the asylum interview. This includes written declarations, identity documents, country of origin information reports, and all other documentary evidence. Applicants or their representatives may mail supporting documents. Note that any documents submitted by mail must be received at least one week prior to the interview. Documents may also be submitted at the front window on Thursdays at the posted times.
Applicants who submit documentation less than one week in advance of the interview, either directly to the office, by mail, or at the front windows during public inquiry hours, risk having their cases rescheduled and their employment authorization clock stopped at their fault. See 8 CFR 208.4(c). Limited exceptions to this policy may be made on a case-by-case basis, but only with the approval of the Director or designee. Applicants will need to show good cause for the timely submission and that the late drop-off of documents would not unduly burden the interviewing officers.
Please be sure that all documents are clearly labeled with the applicant’s name, alien registration number, and the interview time and date, if applicable.
Inquiries will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Any individual appearing for a walk-in inquiry may inquire about a maximum of three (3) cases. Individuals may also submit supplemental materials in support of a pending application during these hours.

An accommodation is a change in a USCIS practice or procedure that allows a qualified individual with a disability to participate in our programs and activities and access our benefits. An accommodation does not exempt you from a USCIS requirement but instead modifies how you meet it. Accommodations may vary depending on your disability and needs, and what can be provided.
