USCIS Offices Temporarily Closed to the Public

As of March 18, 2020 U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services has suspended routine in-person services until further notice to help slow the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). USCIS staff will continue to perform duties that do not involve contact with the public. However, USCIS will provide emergency services for limited situations on a case-by-case basis. To schedule an emergency appointment, contact the USCIS Contact Center.

Guam Field Office to Assume Asia/Pacific Responsibilities for Certain Forms N-400, N-600, and N-600K

On Sept. 1, the Guam Field Office assumed responsibility for processing Forms N-400, N-600, and N-600K for overseas military personnel and their qualified family members in the Asia/Pacific area. We closed our field office in Seoul, South Korea, on Sept. 30.

During this transition, we are committed to providing organized and well-planned services to active-duty military personnel and qualified family members residing overseas. Officers from the Guam Field Office will travel to Asia/Pacific locations as necessary to conduct naturalization interviews and ceremonies, and perform outreach.

New Cases Filed After Seoul Field Office Closes

If you file Form N-400, N-600, or N-600K after the Seoul Field Office closes, please review the filing instructions on our website and file these forms with the appropriate USCIS Lockbox facility.

Cases That Were Pending with the Seoul Field Office

The Seoul Field Office has transferred all unprocessed cases to the Guam Field Office. If we transferred your case, you will receive a Form I-797C, Notice of Action, to document the transfer. General Immigration Information for Military Personnel

The Guam Field Office does not accept walk-in requests or schedule InfoPass appointments. However, you can contact the Military Help Line if you’re an active-duty service member, a military family member, or a veteran.

Our representatives are available to answer calls Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Central, excluding federal holidays. If you are stationed overseas, you may access the help line using the toll-free number through your base telephone operator or using the Defense Switched Network (DSN).

Avoid Immigration Scams

Many people offer help with immigration services. Unfortunately, not all are authorized to do so. While many of these unauthorized practitioners mean well, many of them are out to scam you. Field Office Services

Field Offices handle a variety of functions, many of which you can complete online. We suggest you Ask Emma for more details about what you want to accomplish. Many times, you can complete your task via the Internet. For example, you can get Green Card help, Employment Authorization Documentation assistance, Adoptions or Citizenship information, or download forms.

Attorney or Representative Procedures

If you are an attorney, you must make an appointment with the office that has jurisdiction over your client’s residential address. You must make a separate appointment for each client you wish to discuss.

Becoming an Accredited Representative

If you are not an attorney and wish to provide the public with immigration services, you must be authorized by the Department of Justice (DOJ)'s Office of Legal Access Programs (OLAP). More information is available on how an organization can apply for recognition and accreditation at the District Office.

Prohibited Items

Federal law prohibits weapons like firearms, knives, pepper spray and ammunition at any USCIS facility. Even if you have a permit for a firearm, you cannot bring it to a USCIS building. Please check your purse, briefcase, or bag and remove and safely store these items before your visit. Violators may be subject to fine and/or imprisonment. Please see Title 41, Code of Federal Regulations, Subpart C for more information.
