USCIS Monterrey is located in the municipality of Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon.


You must make an online appointment to visit USCIS Monterrey.


USCIS Monterrey does not accept walk-ins. However, if you have an emergency or are unable to make an online appointment because of circumstances beyond your control, you may visit our office between the hours of 8 a.m. and noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

If you do not have an online appointment, you must wait to be seen until everyone with an appointment has been served. Be prepared to explain why you could not make an online appointment.


From the center of Monterrey: Take Ave. Constitucíon towards Gonzalitos and cross the Santa Catarina River; take Ave. Morones Prieto west, continue past the consulate on the left and take the next turnaround to Prolongación Avenida Alfonso Reyes

From the west: By Saltillo – Monterrey Cuota (toll road), after the Cuota turns into Highway 20, turn right on Prolongación Ave. Alfonso Reyes. By Highway 54D/40 - turn right on Movimiento Obrero and left on Canal Constitucíon, turn right on Ave. Morones Prieto, continue past the consulate on the left and take the next turnaround to Prolongación Avenida Alfonso Reyes.

By Public Transportation

  • The following bus routes go to the Consulate via central Monterrey or San Pedro: R-126 Fama Castillo;
  • R -130 San Pedro (por Matamoros- Juárez o Carlos Salazar).

Note: The estimated travel time from downtown Monterrey to the Consulate is approximately 30 – 45 minutes, depending on the traffic conditions and weather. Bus transit may be longer.

By Car

There is limited parking available.


Accessibility for individuals with special needs is available.

Note:  You are not allowed to enter the U.S. Consulate while carrying any of the following items:

  • Battery-operated or electronic devices such as mobile phones;
  • Digital diaries;
  • Digital watches;
  • Pagers;
  • Cameras;
  • Audio/video cassettes;
  • Compact discs;
  • MP3s;
  • Floppy disks;
  • Laptops; or
  • Portable music players;
  • Large shoulder bags/purses (only bags that can be carried by hand and diaper bags for babies will be permitted);
  • Food items;
  • Sealed envelopes or packages;
  • Cigarettes,
  • Cigars;
  • Match boxes;
  • Lighters;
  • Sharp objects such as scissors, pen knives or nail files;
  • Weapons or explosive materials of any kind; or
  • Bags, such as
    • Travel bags,
    • Backpacks,
    • Briefcases,
    • Suitcases,
    • Leather,
    • Cloth bags, and
    • Zip folders.

You may only carry plastic bags containing application-related papers.

Other items may be prohibited at the discretion of security staff.
