USCIS Nairobi located at the U.S. Embassy Nairobi, across from the United Nations compound on United Nations Avenue in the Gigiri suburb of Nairobi. Please use the public entrance for visa applicants to access our staff.
USCIS Nairobi does not accept walk-ins.
By Public Transportation
From downtown Nairobi (travel by matatu, bus or taxi):
Go northwest on Uhuru Highway until the Museum Hill roundabout. Turn right (traveling north) onto Museum Hill, which becomes Limuru Road. Continue past the Belgium Embassy and the Canadian Embassy, until reaching the signs for the UNEP and United Nations Avenue. At Kenol Gas station, turn right onto United Nations Avenue. Proceed approximately 300 meters, the American Embassy is located on the left.
Parking is available near the building, but not within the embassy compound.
Accessibility for individuals with special needs is available.
Note: Please do not bring:

- Large bags, such as:
- Suitcases, or
There are no storage facilities on the grounds of our facilities.
Only person(s) seeking consular services will be admitted into the U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulates General. Exceptions will be made only if those seeking consular services are under 18, or if they are disabled and require assistance. Applicants who do not follow these instructions will experience considerable delays at the security check point.
