USCIS Seoul is located in downtown Seoul, near City Hall, directly across from the Sejong Cultural Center, and adjacent to the Korea Telecom and Kyobo Life Insurance Buildings. Please use the public entrance access.
You must make an online appointment to visit USCIS Seoul. Please bring a printout of your online appointment letter and a government-issued photo ID with you to the appointment. You may file Form I-407, Record of Abandonment of Lawful Permanent Resident Status, with an appointment on Thursdays from 9 to 10 a.m., and from 1 to 2:30 p.m. You must make an online appointment before coming in to the office. If you do not want to make an appointment, you may submit your Form I-407 by mail.
USCIS Seoul does NOT accept walk-ins.
- By Bus: Take Numbers 83, 28, 136, 8, 6, 59, 23, 5, or 38 that stop near the U.S. Embassy. Get off at the Kyobo Building Stop or the Korean Telecom Building Stop. (Note that the bus routes are subject to change.)
- By Subway: Take Line #5 and get off at the Gwanghwamun Station.
Parking is available near the building, but not within the embassy compound.
Accessibility for individuals with special needs is available.
All applicants must pass through security, which includes putting your personal belongings through an x-ray machine and going through a metal detector.
Attention: Do not bring your electronic devices to the U.S. Embassy. Electronic devices such as cameras, cell phones, laptops and MP3 players may not be brought inside the U.S. Embassy and we do not have the capacity to store your devices. Please leave these items at home or make arrangements for their storage before arriving at the U.S. Embassy. Doing so will result in speedier processing into the U.S. Embassy.
