Tracy Renaud, Associate Director, Service Center Operations Directorate
Tracy Renaud returned to the role of associate director of the Service Center Operations Directorate (SCOPS) after serving as the acting USCIS director from January to August 2021 and acting deputy director from Aug. 3, 2021, through Jan. 31, 2022. Renaud also previously served as the acting deputy director from January to October 2017 and from March 2018 to May 2019.
Experience and Achievements
Renaud was appointed the associate director of SCOPS in February 2020.
Before her appointment in SCOPS, Renaud served as the associate director and deputy associate director of the Management Directorate (MGT). Immediately prior to her tenure in MGT, Renaud served as the USCIS northeast regional director in Vermont for five years, during which time she was responsible for the district and field offices in the northeastern quadrant of the United States.
After transferring to headquarters 1999, Renaud served in a variety of positions, including chief of Field Operations, where she was responsible for the management and oversight of all district and field offices charged with adjudicating requests for immigration benefits; deputy associate director, Refugee Asylum and International Operations, during which time she was responsible for the USCIS offices overseas as well as the refugee and asylum programs; and in the Services Modernization Program (now known as the Office of Transformation Coordination), where she was responsible for implementation of the agency's first electronic filing effort. She also served as a senior adjudications officer within SCOPS and was responsible for the implementation of the agency's premium processing program.
Renaud began her distinguished career with the Immigration and Naturalization Service in 1982 at the Vermont Service Center.
