AR-11, Alien’s Change of Address Card
All noncitizens in the United States must report a change of address to USCIS within 10 days (except A and G visa holders and visa waiver visitors) of moving. This helps ensure that we mail important notices and documents to the right place.
There are two ways you can change your address with USCIS:
- Through your USCIS online account if you filed your form online (or you filed a paper form that has a receipt number that begins with IOE); or
- By submitting Form AR-11, Alien’s Change of Address Card, online.
If you are a victim of domestic violence, trafficking, or other crime, or if you previously filed a Form I-751 abuse waiver, you must submit a paper Form AR-11. For detailed instructions on special situations which require a paper Form AR-11, see our Change of Address page.
Changing your address with the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) will not change your address with USCIS or with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR) if you have an active or pending court case. Please update your address with both USCIS and USPS (and EOIR if you are in removal proceedings).
If you filed a paper form and the receipt number begins with IOE, we mailed you an Account Notice that explains how you can link your paper case to the online account. The notice has an Online Access Code you use to link your case. The code is valid for 90 days. If you need a new code, you can request one using this web form.
