Stakeholder Engagement to Discuss USCIS Citizenship Public Education and Awareness Initiative
On December 15th, the USCIS Office of Citizenship and Office of Public Engagement invited stakeholders to participate in a discussion on plans to implement a national initiative to raise awareness about the rights, responsibilities, and importance of U.S. citizenship and the free educational tools and resources available to help eligible permanent residents prepare for citizenship.
USCIS has contracted with a full-service marketing and advertising firm to create a strategic plan and develop public service advertisements (PSAs), outreach tools, and educational content. During this session, the Office of Citizenship and the advertising firm heard stakeholder input on existing citizenship awareness initiatives and suggestions for how USCIS can best implement a national effort.
