USCIS Online Filing Webinar: Individuals Who Previously Received DACA: Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services invites you to participate in a webinar on May 19, 2022, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Eastern. During this webinar, USCIS representatives will provide an overview of the USCIS online account features and share instructions for our newest form available for online filing, Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.

On April 12, 2022, USCIS announced that individuals who have previously been granted deferred action under Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) are now eligible to file Form I-821D, Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization, and the Form I-765 Worksheet online. To file these forms online, DACA requestors must first visit my.uscis.gov to create a free USCIS online account. At this time, the option to file online is only available for individuals who have previously been granted DACA. Individuals requesting DACA for the first time must continue to file a paper Form I-821D, Form I-765, and the Form I-765 Worksheet.

Consistent with a court order issued in State of Texas, et al., v. United States of America, et al., 1:18-CV-00068 (S.D. Tex. July 16, 2021), the Department of Homeland Security continues to accept the filing of both initial and renewal DACA requests, as well as accompanying requests for employment authorization. However, under the July 16, 2021, order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, DHS is prohibited from granting initial DACA requests.
