Educational Opportunities for Congressional Staff
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Office of Legislative Affairs and the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs are pleased to invite you to the National Immigration Conference for congressional staff at the Capitol Visitor Center.
National Conference on Immigration and Consular Affairs
Date: April 13-17, 2015
Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Location: Capitol Visitor Center, Washington, DC
The 5-day National Immigration Conference will provide an invaluable opportunity for congressional staff to learn about:
- immigration system program information from U.S. Government departments and agencies;
- in-depth procedural information about immigration issues and case processing; and
- how the U.S. Government documents U.S. citizenship and provides assistance to U.S. citizens overseas.
Subject matter experts from Consular Affairs and U.S. Department of Homeland Security component agencies including USCIS, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, as well as other U.S. Government agencies, will provide comprehensive overviews of immigration and consular-related topics. We trust you will benefit from this opportunity to discuss these topics and strengthen relationships with other congressional staff as well as agency staff.
If you plan to attend, please complete this form and return it by April 7, 2015, to USCIS by fax at (202) 272-1955 or by email at USCIS-Congressional@uscis.dhs.gov. If you have any questions, please call (202) 272-1940.
