Starting April 3, 2017, USCIS will temporarily suspend premium processing for all H-1B petitions. This suspension may last up to 6 months.

Starting February 16, 2017, USCIS began reissuing receipt notices (Form I-797) to individuals who applied to renew their Employment Authorization Document (EAD) between July 21, 2016 and January 16, 2017, and whose applications remain pending in certain categories.
A message for new immigrants: You now have the option to create a USCIS online account when you pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee.
USCIS published the updated M-274, Handbook for Employers: Guidance for Completing Form I-9 (PDF). The Handbook for Employers provides employers with detailed guidance for completing Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification. This version, which published Jan. 22, 2017, replaces the previous version which was published on April 30, 2013. It reflects revisions to Form I-9, which was revised on Nov. 14, 2016.
