Institute of Museum and Library Services: USCIS Citizenship and Integration Grant Program
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invites museum and library employees to participate in a webinar on Thursday, March 21, from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern, to engage in dialogue with us about the Citizenship and Integration Grant Program.
Since 2009, USCIS has awarded nearly $155 million through 644 competitive grants to immigrant-serving organizations, including public libraries. These grants have been awarded in 41 states and the District of Columbia to organizations that provide citizenship instruction, naturalization preparation, or ongoing integration services to immigrants who are eligible to naturalize.
During the webinar, USCIS representatives will:
- Provide an overview of the Citizenship and Integration Grant Program;
- Highlight past grant recipients and the types of organizations that may apply;
- Seek feedback on how USCIS can partner with museums and libraries to promote this information within their networks and local communities; and
- Answer questions.
We are presenting this webinar as part of the federal partnership with the Institute of Museum and Library Services to provide citizenship and immigration information to library and museum professionals.
