Revised Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invited you to participate in a stakeholder teleconference on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. (Eastern) to discuss the Revised Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification (PDF, 726.73 KB). During the session, representatives from USCIS reviewed the enhancements included in the revised Form I-9, discussed employment eligibility verification best practices, and answered questions about each section of the form.

Effective January 22, 2017, employers must use the revised Form I-9 to verify the identity and work eligibility of every new employee hired after November 6, 1986. For more information visit I-9 Central.
