Deferred Enforced Departure for Certain Palestinians
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services invites you to participate in an engagement on Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) for eligible Palestinians on Tuesday, June 4, from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern.
On Feb. 14, 2024, President Biden issued a Memorandum on the Deferred Enforced Departure for Certain Palestinians. The memorandum defers through Aug. 13, 2025, the removal of certain Palestinian noncitizens present in the United States at the time of the Feb. 14 announcement. Individuals who enter the United States after Feb. 14, 2024, are not eligible for DED. In addition, the memorandum directs USCIS to take measures to authorize employment for eligible Palestinians.
During this engagement, USCIS will provide an overview of DED for eligible Palestinians. We will then hold a question-and-answer session. We will not address case-specific questions, questions outside the scope of the engagement, or issues under active litigation.
