USCIS Issues Notices Extending Certain TPS EADs Through March 9, 2025
USCIS is issuing Form I-797, Notice of Action, to certain Temporary Protected Status (TPS) beneficiaries who are eligible to re-register for TPS or have a pending application to renew their Form I-766, Employment Authorization Document (EAD). This notice further extends the validity of their EAD through March 9, 2025. Their current EADs bear an A12 or C19 category and a Card Expires date of:

- March 9, 2018
- June 24, 2018
- July 5, 2018
- Nov. 2, 2018
- Jan. 5, 2019
- April 2, 2019
- June 24, 2019
- Sept. 9, 2019
- Jan. 2, 2020
- Jan. 5, 2020
- March 24, 2020
- Jan. 4, 2021
- Oct. 4, 2021
- Dec 31, 2022
- June 30, 2024
User agencies must accept the applicant’s Form I-797 when they present it with their current EAD that has a TPS category of A12 or C19 and one of the above listed expiration dates.
SAVE Verification
SAVE will generally verify employment authorization as part of initial verification, including extended EAD validity periods. However, if the initial SAVE response shows the original EAD expiration date and the applicant has a notice from USCIS stating the EAD validity period has been extended, request additional verification for manual review of the applicant’s EAD validity period.
