SAVE CaseCheck for Benefit Applicants
Applying for a benefit or license? The agency may need to verify your immigration status or U.S. citizenship to process your application. Many agencies use SAVE to verify your immigration status or U.S. citizenship.
CaseCheck is a free and fast service that lets you check the status of your SAVE verification case as part of your application for a public benefit.
Click the CHECK YOUR CASE button below, select the identification type you presented to the benefit granting agency, and enter the requested information:
- Your date of birth; and
- One of the following:
- SAVE verification case number provided by the agency you requested the benefit from; or
- An immigration enumerator from the document type you selected. For more information on where to locate the enumerator on an immigration document, visit our Commonly Used Immigration Documents page. Immigration enumerators include:
- Alien Number or USCIS Number;
- Card Number / Form I-797 Receipt Number;
- Certificate of Citizenship Number;
- Certificate of Naturalization Number;
- Form I-94, Arrival/Departure Record Number;
- U.S. Passport Number; or
- SEVIS ID Number.
If CaseCheck is able to locate your verification case based on the information you provided, it will return one of the following responses:
- The verification request is pending with SAVE; or
- A SAVE response was returned to the agency and you, the benefit applicant, should contact the agency about the status of your benefit application.
