Susan Dibbins, Chief, Office of Administrative Appeals

Susan Dibbins began serving as the chief of the Administrative Appeals Office (AAO) on Dec. 20, 2020. She previously served as acting chief since May 2020.

Experience and Achievements

Dibbins is in her 13th year with the AAO, where she has been a branch/division chief for many years and the acting deputy chief from February through April 2020. Dibbins joined legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service in 1992 as an asylum officer in Newark, New Jersey, and has held numerous positions within INS and USCIS during her 28-year career, including the director of the Newark Asylum and the Washington Field Office.

Education

Dibbins is a graduate of Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.
